A forklift is a powerful tool that allows one person to precisely lift and place large heavy loads with little effort. Using a tool such as a forklift, cart or hand truck instead of lifting and carrying items by hand can reduce the risk that you will suffer a back injury.
The Nigeria Factories Act 1993 stipulates that industries involved in the use of lifting equipment must and should train the personnel operating this equipment and possibly those working around the environment where these Equipments are used.
The demand for Forklift operators are in high demand in industries across the world. Forklift operators, also known as industrial truck drivers, are in great demand all over the world especially in Nigeria industries where moving heavy objects is involved. Specific licensing is necessary for forklift drivers, which may be taught on site or be required prior to hiring in to a company or organization.
In our quest to creating safety conciousness and ensure standard, quality and effective training of these personnel, SHELTOR SAFETY NIGERIA and our UK OSHA certified Instructors offers training programmes to operators and personnel in Forklift and Crane Safety. The employer must document operator training and an evaluation of the operator’s performance while using the forklift.
Forklift training is composed of four elements: formal, practical, evaluation and certification.
The formal component consists of classroom training of 1 ½ to 4 hours, while the practical component consists of hands-on skill-building on the forklift. The student's skills are then evaluated by the trainer, and if proficient, the student will take the final test that results in certification.
SSN is committed towards building a sustainable relationship with all our customers. We work with trainees to make sure that their training is completed quickly and at an affordable price.
